The Poor Kitten Knocks On The Door House And Just Wants To Go Inside Because It's So Cold

A woman's heart melts as she discovers an orange tabby standing in the snow, pawing at her door and pleading for assistance. The cat meowed as if to ask for help.

"His expressive face conveyed it all,"

A compassionate woman, who volunteers at Un Chat à la Fois, a kitten rescue in Quebec, reaches out to Marie Simard after discovering the cat at her doorstep. Despite knowing that the rescue typically focuses on kittens, she expresses her desire to assist the cat. Overwhelmed by the heartbreaking photo, Marie immediately instructs her to take the cat to their partner clinic for evaluation.

"His expressive face conveyed it all," Marie explained. "He lingered at her doorstep, and the moment I urged her to take him in, he didn't resist or attempt to flee."

Upon examination at the clinic, the veterinarian confirmed that the cat was in dire need of assistance. He bore numerous bite wounds, was infested with fleas and ticks, and had endured frostbite, decayed teeth, and diabetes. Recognizing that the stray cat's plea for attention was his only chance of survival, Simard realized he wouldn't have made it through another harsh winter without intervention.

Even in his weakened condition, the cat displayed immense gratitude for being in the company of people once more. "He showed great kindness towards the clinic staff," shared Simard. "He would extend his paw outside the cage, inviting people to pet him."

Simard decided to christen the cat Aslan, drawing inspiration from the majestic lion in "The Chronicles of Narnia" series. Following a few days of diligent care at the clinic, Aslan's health gradually improved, prompting his transition to a loving foster home. In his new environment, he swiftly forged friendships with his foster mom's resident feline companions.

Every single day, Aslan took it upon himself to remind his foster mom of the immense joy he experienced in being secure and surrounded by warmth. With unwavering affection, he would seek closeness, finding solace in slumbering next to his caring foster mom. Simard affirmed, "He's an incredibly affectionate cat who simply adores being in close proximity to his foster mom."

As the time arrived to seek a forever home for Aslan, his foster mom was confronted with an emotional dilemma. The unbreakable bond he had formed with his newfound sister and fellow rescue cat, Cleo, tugged at her heartstrings. Their shared moments of peaceful slumber and mutual grooming endeared them to each other. It became evident to all that keeping them together was the most fitting course of action—a testament to the resilience and companionship of two cats who had endured their fair share of hardships.

Now, a year later, Aslan has blossomed into an extraordinary Valentine, bringing immeasurable joy and love to his forever family.
